Guapo played to crowds of over 15,000 spectators in Place Des Festivals during the Just For Laughs festival. Fusing music, fashion & circus arts into unforgettable spectacles.
While working as Project Director for Quicksound he worked with 15 time Grammy Award winning Venezuelan percussionist Luisito Quintero (Masters at Work, Tito Puente) and with 4 time Juno Award winning Afro Beat guitarist Alpha Yaya Diallo from Guinea.
The success of his remix of UK world beat pioneers Suns of Arqa led to joining the band! He produced songs and performed on six of their albums. Collaborating with dub legends like Grammy winner Martin Glover aka Youth (The Orb) & Adrian Sherwood (On-U Sound), as well as with Indian Raga virtuosos Ragunath Seth & Johar Ali Khan.
He also collaborated on recordings with seminal artists like Muslimgauze and with Luke Vibert & Blurum13’s hip hop project BLUKE.
He co-founded Flamingo Funk with DJ Melodrastik and they formed alliances with bass music crews in Ottawa & Toronto. Together they booked international headliners like Krafty Kuts & Mista Trick to tour in Canada. Guapo performed closing sets after both of them. Combined with his epic festival closing sets at Tribunion Boreal, Timeless and Khumeia, he is building a solid reputation as a closer!
Guapo collaborated with cutting-edge video artists on performances with immersive video projections in the Satosphere Dome, Lumifest, La Place Des Festival, Festival Nouveau Cinéma and Rialto Theater. Working with world renowned pioneers like Moment Factory, Gridspace, Mindroots and Graphics Emotion. He performed with immersive post-rock band Antennae at Nomad Nation.
